Tap2Go-Campania
Campania, a tariff integration project that affects an entire region.
Tariff integration in Campania has been a reality for more than twenty years, thanks to the impulse given by the Consorzio Unico Campania. The consortium brings together local public transport companies AIR, ANM, SCAI Autolinee, BUSITALIA Campania, CIAV, CLP, COSAT, CTP, DAV, EAV, SITA, TRENITALIA, TROTTA BUS SERVICE, AUTOLINEE CURCIO, AUTOLINEE EREDI ARTURO LAMANNA, ETTORE CURCIO & FIGLI, FRANCESCO & GIUSEPPE MANSI Snc making 100% of the regional rail offer and 85% of the road offer available to its users.
SET, already since the birth of the Consortium (twenty years ago), began to collaborate by introducing various types of validators and systems, integrated with each other. Installed both on the vehicles and in the stations, to ensure tariff integration that affects the entire regional territory.
Every day with the integrated ticket, based on various technologies, more than 1.5 million passengers travel, with 25 thousand bus rides and 2,540 trains.
The Set was therefore the consortium’s most natural choice to introduce new technologies such as: dematerialized tickets, based on QR codes, and the use of systems based on EMV bank cards, in accordance with the Transit model of Transport for London.
As part of this project and thanks to the award of the tender announced by ACAMIR (Campana Mobility Infrastructure and Networks Agency), SET has provided more than two thousand validators, installed on the vehicles and in the stations.
The validators provided allow you to validate travel documents equipped with magnetic stripe, QR code and systems based on EMV bank cards, in accordance with the Transit model of Transport for London.
The Tap2Go software allows interfacing the systems, installed on the territory, with the data centers of the consortium and of the region, guaranteeing the reporting and monitoring of the plants. A salient feature was the methodology used to guarantee the best rate to the end user “Best fare”, which is calculated by sophisticated algorithms based on the actual use of the ticket. The user just has to “plug” and travel, Tap2Go takes care of the rest.
Intelligent Transport System of Campania – Acamir
ACaMIR, Campania Agency for Mobility, Infrastructures and Networks, is an instrumental body of the Campania Region, which provides technical, legal and administrative support to the Region in the implementation of the project “Intelligent Transport System of Campania (ITSC) “, aimed at creating an integrated system of technological infrastructures, applied to all sectors of mobility, from collective to individual transport, to freight transport and to all modes of transport by road, rail and sea.
As part of the ITSC project, SET has won the tender for the supply of on-board systems on all new buses, purchased by the Region, and on all those still circulating in the Region, for a total of about 1500 vehicles.
SET in RTI with SWARCO and Ameli, is providing and installing a complete system on board the vehicles that includes: Video Surveillance (4 internal cameras, reversing camera, cameras on the doors and NVR connected to the control unit), User Info System (LCD 19″ display, LED display, Voice announcements inside the vehicle and outside the vehicle, noise sensors for automatic audio level adjustment), shift and ride management (On-board unit, GPS, shift loading, ride management, service certification, communication to and from central), Ticketing System (Management of magnetic travel documents, QR code, EMV – Tap2Go).
Furthermore, thanks to the agreement with the Consorzio Unico Campania, SET is ensuring that everything is perfectly integrated into the tariff logic envisaged, even for rail lines.

Metro do Porto
Metro do Porto is the modern tram network of the city Porto, in Portugal inaugurated in 2002. The line extends over approximately 67 km of route with 80 stations and stops.
SET has been awarded, with the parent company Solari, the supply of 700 Magda model validators capable of managing traditional RFID travel tickets, EMV cards in accordance with the model Transit from Transport for London and QR code.
The validators are equipped with an audio module, IK10 touch screen, QR code reader, proximity sensor (puts the validator in power saving mode for consumption optimization), brightness sensor (adapts display brightness based on ambient light).
The validators supplied are accompanied by a Software Kit (SDK), which guarantees full compatibility and integration with the systems already in use in the region.
